Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Childcare Provider to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and the ability to create a safe, engaging, and educational environment. This role involves managing daily activities, ensuring the well-being of children, and fostering their development through play and structured learning.
Duties
- Supervise and engage with children in a variety of activities, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster a positive environment.
- Manage daily routines including meal times, nap times, and play sessions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the childcare area, including toys and equipment.
- Drive children to various activities or appointments as needed (valid driving licence required).
- Provide leadership and guidance to junior staff or volunteers in the nursery setting.
Skills
- Proven experience in childcare or early childhood education is essential.
- Strong communication skills in English to effectively interact with children and parents.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a calm demeanour in a busy environment.
- Leadership qualities to inspire and guide young learners as well as support fellow staff members.
- Familiarity with nursery settings and early childhood education principles is highly desirable.
- A genuine love for working with children and understanding their developmental needs.
