Job Purpose:
To provide support and assistance for ACEDA end users and external clients through the effective processing and management of IT related tasks.
The main responsibilities of the role include:
- Installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all hardware and equipment (including, but not limited to Servers, PCs, Telephony, printers, and other peripherals) to ensure optimal performance.
- Ensuring the security of internal and supported clients in line with Cyber Essentials and industry best practice.
- Support and maintenance of Active Directory domain environments.
- Support and maintenance of VOIP telephony solutions.
- Hardware configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting of network equipment and security appliances.
- Building excellent working relationships with existing and new clients.
- Management of your own workload using our Service Desk solution.
You will be expected to:
- Keep up to date with new technologies .
- Work closely with the IT Operations Manager to identify and resolve IT issues.
- Focused and skilled in the maintaining of security across internal and external clients.
- Coordinate engineer activities via our service desk solution.
- Comply with Cyber Essentials and security requirements.
- Administer and support Active Directory domains.
- Design and deployment of Group Policies within an Active Directory Environment.
- Support for end users.
- Work with vendor support contacts to resolve technical issues within the desktop and server environment.
- Dealing with hardware and application support queries and issues in a timely manner.
- Create and maintain internal system documentation and that of our supported clients.
Person Specification
This role requires:
- A dynamic individual with an appetite for improving service offerings and improving current IT operations.
- The ability to multitask and manage your own workload.
- Good communication skills
- Knowledge and experience of internet, network and endpoint security
- Knowledge of network technologies from the security appliance through to the design and implementation of networks through to the endpoint device
- Strong Microsoft operating system and software knowledge, including Windows desktop and server, IIS, Microsoft SQL, Hyper-V, Active Directory
- Experience of RMM and Service Desk systems
- Understanding of web technologies, DNS and IP
- Ability to troubleshoot problem areas, either in person, by telephone, or via remote access.
- An individual who can meet the occasional requirements for out-of-hours support.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £25,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
