This pivotal role involves partnering with site management, implementing innovative recruitment strategies, and championing colleague engagement initiatives to drive success.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with site management to prioritize colleague well-being and equip leaders with the necessary tools for success.
- Crafting and executing efficient recruitment solutions to attract top-tier talent. – Spearheading proactive communication efforts throughout the site.
- Driving colleague engagement initiatives to minimize absenteeism and optimize cost savings.
- Providing invaluable advice and guidance to colleagues at all levels.
- Supporting, coaching, and challenging line management on various HR matters, including absence, disciplinary, and succession planning.
- Identifying and nurturing talent through skill development initiatives and succession planning.
- Proactively managing employee relations to ensure compliance with legal standards. Ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for all colleagues.
- Cultivating positive relationships with unions and agency suppliers.
- Leading strategic HR projects to align with organizational goals.
- Overseeing absence and sick pay processes to effectively manage costs.

In addition to a ‘hands-on’ attitude and adaptability to change in a fast-paced environment, candidates for this role must possess:
- Proven experience in a fast-paced, agile, and demanding environment, preferably within Manufacturing or Logistics sectors.
- A professional HR qualification, degree-level education, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Proficiency in IT, particularly MS Office and HR systems.
- Thorough and up-to-date knowledge of employment law.
- Ability to foster an inclusive environment where every voice is valued and heard, with the confidence to offer constructive challenges when necessary.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and a customer-centric approach.
- Capability and confidence to provide guidance and coaching to site management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proactive attitude towards personal development.
- Familiarity with core HR policies and processes.
- Willingness to take initiative and demonstrate courage in decision-making.
- Flexibility in working hours and readiness to travel as needed for site support and project involvement.
