About the role
We’re looking for an individual with a focus on optimisation of the propagation process on site, including working with procurement.
What will I be doing?
- Knowledge carrier for the production processes
- Continuous process optimisation and troubleshooting of existing processes
- Maintaining optimal operating points for quality, efficiency and energy along the entire value chain
- Technical interface for substrate purchasing and utilisation
- Scientific analyses of production processes with the aim of increasing capacity and yield
- Supervision of production trials including technical, qualitative and commercial analyses
- Close and trusting co-operation with other departments and external service providers
- Identification, establishment and implementation of new processes with the Innovation Leader
- Collaboration with interdepartmental projects & new product launches
- Planning and co-ordination of production trials with production, supply chain and innovation
- Support process and plant designs for construction and commissioning of new production facilities
- Planning and implementation of commissioning in co-operation with engineering and production.
What do I need to be successful?
- Minimum degree in Biotechnology/ Applied science or Engineering
- Strong communicator, who can translate complex processes into a simple message.
- Good knowledge in the field of fermentation (preferably yeast production) a MUST
- Three years of professional activity within biotechnological or food manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of biotechnology / fermentation processes
- Competency in physiology & biochemistry
- Process knowledge in fermentation processes involving yeast extracts & active dry yeast
- Experience and interest in process optimisation within a large-scale manufacturing environment.
