Job Overview
We are a long-established and forward-thinking accountancy practice in the UK, committed to providing tailored accounting and tax solutions to our clients. We are seeking a talented and innovative Business Development Manager to drive growth, build strategic partnerships, and foster long-term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

As the Business Development Manager, you will:

1. Strategic Growth Development:

  • Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities to expand our client base.
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.

2. Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, understanding clients’ needs and aligning them with our services.

3. Market Research and Analysis:

  • Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive insights.
  • Provide strategic recommendations based on market and industry analysis.

4. Sales and Networking:

  • Lead the sales process, from lead generation to deal closure, including preparing proposals and presentations.
  • Represent the company at industry events and networking opportunities to build brand visibility.

5. Collaboration:

  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless onboarding of new clients and effective delivery of services.
  • Work on marketing plans to align business development initiatives with promotional strategies.

6. Performance Reporting:

  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of prospects, track progress, and report on key metrics.
  • Measure performance against goals, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

What We’re Looking For

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or marketing, preferably in a professional services environment.
  • Strong understanding of the accountancy or financial services industry.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate at all levels.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain strategic partnerships.
  • Goal-oriented mindset with a track record of meeting and exceeding revenue targets.

Desirable Skills:

  • Proficiency in Mandarin, both written and verbal; understanding of the dynamics of Asian culture.
  • Experience with CRM systems for managing pipelines and client interactions.
  • Familiarity with the UK business and regulatory environment.
  • A network of existing contacts within the financial or accountancy sector.
