What prompted you to make a timely decision?

I wanted to transition and have an added skill with the previous skills I honed. In my research, I saw success stories on the RKY Careers Instagram page.

I went to RKY’s website to better understand the courses being offered and the courses that are best suited for me.

After reviewing all the courses offered, I enrolled for the UK Compliance because it best suits my desired role.

What Skills did you gain in the bootcamp?

I gained both soft and technical skills. The bootcamp is 5 weeks of intensive training.

Kudos to the facilitator; during the first week, he covered many topics to learn.

The facilitator ensured that the other students and I learned all we needed to know about KYC | AML | CFT, Financial Crime | Sanctions, Regulatory Compliance, Data Protection & GDPR.

During the work experience phase, I worked on real-life cases to perform risk rating and enhanced due diligence onboarding for real-life entities. The project phase equipped me with real-life work experience needed to scale interviews and perform excellently in a real-life situation on the job.

How will you summarise your learning outcome?

At the end of the bootcamp, I got a CPD accredited Certificate.

I gained a broader understanding of UK compliance laws, regulations, and company policies.

I was also introduced to critical criminal finance legislation to help recognise, assess and manage anti-money laundering within any business.

How will you describe the aftermath of the bootcamp?

After the bootcamp, I started applying for jobs within the compliance sector.

With my optimised cv, which positioned my skill professionally, I began securing interviews. I was also privileged to be interviewed by one of my favourite firms.

After numerous interviews, I secured a role as a customer service specialist. This role showed the beginning of my success story and also aiming for higher roles.
