I learnt and studied how to speak French fluently and professionally. The French language was a skill that I started, and I gradually took a career path.
I began getting gigs at the professional level, and this went smoothly.
With much thought and deliberation, I started researching how to add my French skills to secure a tech role.

The recommendation made me finalise the project management & business analysis bootcamp.
I enrolled for the 4-month long bootcamp, and my journey in tech began.
The bootcamp experience
Once enrolled, I and other students had 6 weeks of live classes.
The weekend classes helped define project scope, manage risks, project budgeting, etc.
After the 6 weeks of live classes, we moved on to the live project phase. In the live project phase, we were assigned a live case scenario project with the help of team members to deliver the project using the waterfall and agile scrum methodologies.
At the end of the four-month program, I attained good stakeholder management, collaboration and project delivery skills.
Securing a French Project Coordinator Role
Once the bootcamp was rounding up, RKY Careers had numerous support sessions. The company called industry experts to speak on today’s job market and what is expected.
One thing I spoke about with the RKY Careers team was that I wanted a French project coordinator role, as I saw there was such a role.
My CV was optimised to that standard, and I began applying for jobs.

I applied to numerous companies and was called to attend an interview for a French project coordinator role.
The interview was in two stages. The first interview was oral, and the second interview was in line with technical questions. The company went as far as bringing a French man to interview me in French.
A few days later, I got an offer letter for the role of French project coordinator.
