The Path to Landing a Project Support Officer Role with the NHS
The Project Support Officer role is responsible for coordinating and delivering a business project, working closely with the Project Manager.
Does the above look like what your interest lies in? And how do we secure such a role?
Then, I am here to tell you how Loveth secured such a role with diligence, tenacity and help!
Loveth sought help by joining our Project Management Bootcamp. The boot camp trains and provides support and guidance on what you need to know in project management and how to land a job in such a role.
This is the beginning of Loveth’s journey in the project management field, and now, we had the privilege to interview her.

How was the bootcamp experience?
I joined the second cohort of the project management and business analysis bootcamp, which was transformative.
With the bootcamp, I built my skills as a Hybrid Project Manager and Business Analyst.
I learned much about project artefacts, stakeholder communication, business case collaborations, and
requirements elicitation. I also learned UAT processes and how to curate user stories and product
backlogs.
Overall, the bootcamp was a comprehensive learning journey, and I am glad I took the step to learn.
Which other support from the bootcamp helped with the job process?
The career support sessions and alumni community.
The career support session happened pre-boot bootcamp while the alumni community is post-boot bootcamp.
The career support sessions, included in the bootcamp package, offer the opportunity to meet and learn from industry experts in project management. These sessions provide insights into industry requirements, strategies to leverage them, and crucially, how to secure the roles that interest you.
Once the bootcamp is over, I’ll move on to the alumni community, which is an additional benefit from RKY.
As an alumni, you’ll have the privilege of participating in our weekly interview prep sessions. These sessions, led by a variety of instructors, are designed to continually enhance your interview skills and increase your chances of securing your dream job.
Not just that, we also get to join the monthly alumni webinar with RKY herself and special guests who come to speak about the industry today and how to navigate the job market.
These sessions have not only boosted my confidence but also played a pivotal role in securing my current position as a project support officer. They are not just about landing a job, but about personal growth and professional development.
How did you secure a project support officer role?
I applied to different industries and later secured an interview with NHS.
The interview process was long, with questions about managing challenges while working on
a project and managing stakeholders’ expectations.
However, what helped with answering accurately was thanks to the live project experience and the support sessions.
After some days, I was given a band 5 role as a project support officer with the NHS.

I was super excited about the new journey ahead of me, thanks to RKY.
