After exploring several countries&#8217; skilled immigration programs, including Canada, they settled for the UK through the study visa route due to delays and other external factors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>&#8220;We applied ourselves without using any agent for various universities and got about 15 admissions. Finally, my wife opted for Glasgow Caledonian University because of the payment structure and low tuition fees. After that, I started researching the school fees, payment structure, and living costs in that location.&#8221;<\/em>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Having secured admission for his wife, with himself as the dependant, the next line of action was to secure a job, not just any job but one aligned with his career goals and expectations.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ola began looking at job opportunities in the UK as an IT specialist; his job search was going pretty slow, as he didn&#8217;t know how to translate his achievements into a CV or LinkedIn profile that would attract recruiters. As a result, he became more intentional with each interview, assessing his performance and non-performance, requesting feedback, preparing strategic responses to questions using the STAR method, and preparing questions for the interviewer and panel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Within two months, he had over 30 interviews, getting better after each and taking down lessons for the next. Finally, in December, Ola landed a senior role in one of the top IT consulting firms in the world. After 4 rounds of interviews, I was given an offer I couldn&#8217;t refuse!&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ola accepted the offer as a Senior IT Ops at his dream company.
