Joyce studied Mass Communication and had been working in media and content-related roles for some time. She was good at what she did\u2014creating messages, managing communication plans, and supporting public relations. She had always been curious about Project Management<\/a>, but she wasn\u2019t sure how to switch careers or even where to begin. The tools, methods, and job titles all felt unfamiliar, and she didn\u2019t have anyone close to guide her. That was until she came across RKY Careers on Instagram.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Starting the PM\/BA Bootcamp<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

When Joyce joined the bootcamp, she wasn\u2019t sure what to expect. But right from the first session, she felt welcomed and supported. The structure was clear. The content was easy to follow. And most importantly, the trainers made sure everyone understood the real-life use of every topic taught.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She learned the key concepts of Project Management\u2014like how to plan, manage risks, lead a team, monitor progress, and deliver results. She also explored Business Analysis, where she gained a deeper understanding of how to gather requirements, define solutions, and communicate with stakeholders effectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each week came with live classes, recorded lessons, practical assignments, and interactive workshops. Joyce started to gain more confidence and slowly began to see herself as a future Project Manager.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Game-Changing Masterclasses<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

One of the highlights of the bootcamp for Joyce was the Primavera P6 Masterclass. Before this, she had never heard of the tool. But during the class, she learned how to schedule and manage projects professionally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She was shown how to break down project activities, track timelines, manage dependencies, and allocate resources. What seemed complex at first now made sense. By the end of the class, she was proud of what she could do using the tool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to Primavera, she also attended career support sessions and interview preparation. These sessions helped her understand how to effectively present her new skills to employers and how to articulate her strengths confidently during interviews.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Landing a Role In Project Management<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

After completing the bootcamp, Joyce updated her CV with her newly gained project management and analysis experience. She practised answering interview questions with the help of the RKY Careers support team and made sure her LinkedIn profile reflected her new direction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a short time, Joyce was invited to a job interview for a Project Manager role. The experience she gained from the bootcamp and the masterclasses gave her the confidence she needed. She explained her background clearly, talked through how she would approach managing projects, and showed that she understood how to use tools like Primavera P6 to plan and deliver successfully.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To her joy, she was offered the role. What had once seemed like a dream was now a reality. Joyce had successfully transitioned from Mass Communication<\/a> to Project Management.\\<\/p>\n\n\n\n
